Pakistan has stepped up diplomatic efforts to promote peace in the region by convening a high-level four-country meeting aimed at reducing escalating tensions.
The two-day meeting will be held in Islamabad on March 29 and 30, bringing together the foreign ministers of Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. The meeting will be chaired by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, who is expected to lead discussions on de-escalation and regional stability.
Sources said the talks are being held against the backdrop of ongoing tensions involving Iran and the United States. The primary objective of the meeting is to explore diplomatic avenues to ease friction and prevent further escalation.
Pakistan is playing a central role as a mediator and facilitator in the process, with a focus on promoting dialogue among key regional stakeholders. Officials noted that the initiative aims to strengthen peace, enhance stability, and reduce the risk of conflict in the region through collective diplomatic engagement.
