Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have agreed to chalk out a joint strategy to tackle online terrorism and terror financing.The agreement reached during a meeting between Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Dubai.Mohsin Naqvi was in Dubai to attend the World Governments Summit. Renowned world leaders and other prominent personalities and experts were participating in the Summit.
On the sidelines of the Summit, Mohsin Naqvi held detailed meetings with Lt-Gen Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Interior Minister of Rwanda Dr Vincent Biruta.During these meetings, Mohsin Naqvi stressed the need to strengthen trade and investment relations between Pakistan, United Arab Emirates and Rwanda.In meeting with his UAE counterpart, Mohsin Naqvi reiterated Pakistan’s stance to bolster the bilateral talks and promote mutual interests.
He maintained that in order benefit from the UAE’s modern policing system exchange programmes would be extremely beneficial.Earlier, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, highlighted the success of the World Governments Summit and described it as a vote of confidence from countries around the world.
“Today we concluded the World Governments Summit in its largest edition yet, with the participation of more than 150 governments, 500 ministers, and over 60 heads of state and government,” Sheikh Mohammed wrote on his X account.
