Flights scheduled was disrupted as five international and domestic flights failed to depart from Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport due to various technical and operational issues on Monday. An Oman Air flight WY-324 was cancelled. The flight was scheduled to land in Muscat from Karachi.An Airblue flight PA-110 was cancelled. The flight was scheduled to depart from Karachi to Dubai.

Two Air Sial flights PF-145 and PF132, who were scheduled to depart from Karachi to Lahore were cancelled. A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK306, was cancelled. The flight was scheduled to land at Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIA) in Lahore from Karachi.

The situation left hundreds of passengers stranded for hours, many of them families, elderly citizens, and children, enduring long waits at the crowded Karachi airport. Families with young children and elderly travellers were particularly distressed as the uncertainty dragged on throughout the day.
