Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday expressed gratitude to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his condolences and solidarity over the devastating floods in Pakistan.In a phone call early in Friday morning, President Erdogan conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the people of Pakistan and offered support from Turkey in ongoing rescue and relief operations.
Shehbaz Sharif said the people of Pakistan would always remember Turkey’s generosity and brotherhood in difficult times, noting that the two nations have consistently stood by each other in both good and bad moments.He added that both leaders reaffirmed their resolve to strengthen historical ties and cooperation in all fields. The prime minister said he looks forward to meeting Erdogan on the sidelines of the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Tianjin.
