Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed his government's commitment to integrate Radio Pakistan with modern technologies, particularly with Artificial Intelligence, in order to transform the national broadcaster into a more effective instrument for public service, education, health and national development.
In his message on the occasion of World Radio Day, he said our government, under the Digital Pakistan Vision, is promoting innovation in media and IT sectors so that Pakistan can achieve a prominent position in the field of knowledge and technology.
The Prime Minister said Radio Pakistan, since the creation of Pakistan, had served as a powerful medium of communication, which united the nation, raised awareness and promoted the accessibility of information. He said the history of Radio in Pakistan has been remarkably illustrious in many ways, particularly for its vital role in promoting agricultural development, environmental awareness, culture and public enlightenment.
Shehbaz Sharif said as the world is rapidly entering the digital era, Radio is also harmonizing itself with modern day requirements.He said this year's theme of World Radio Day, "Radio and Artificial Intelligence" is a testament that communication system can be transformed into more effective and inclusive with integration of technology and human creativity.
The Prime Minister said Pakistan is also taking practical steps to introduce this cutting-edge technology, equipping the young generation with modern skills and aligning the media sector with international standards. The Prime Minister also called for making a pledge to harmonize Radio Pakistan and all Pakistani media with modern day requirements and make them strong medium of truth, responsibility, and national cohesion.
