Police in Larkana arrested a man who killed his Nikahfied wife, lady teacher Sadaf Haslo, after she declined to be sent to her husband’s house (Rukhsati). Police had already announced a reward of Rs2.5 million for the informer who will provide credible information for the killer’s arrest.  A major operation was conducted by the police in Sindhi Batra area in tehsil Mehar of district Larkana during which the accused was arrested. 

It is necessary to mention here that Sindh Inspector-General of Police Ghulam Nabi Memon personally appeared in Sindh High Court Larkana bench.  The court ordered the IG Sindh to issue strict orders to the SSPs for maintenance of law and order.  Lady teacher Sadaf Haslo was shot dead by her husband Farid Haslo on April 7, 2025 while she was returning hom after performing her duty.
