Posters in IIOJK pay glowing tributes to Jammu Martyrs Breaking

November 05, 2025

Posters have appeared across several areas of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir paying glowing tributes to the martyrs of the 1947 Jammu massacre on their martyrdom anniversary.  According to Kashmir Media Service, the posters commemorate the Kashmiri Muslims who were mercilessly slaughtered by the forces of Dogra ruler Hari Singh, Indian troops, and armed Hindu extremists while migrating to Pakistan during the first week of November 1947.

Historical records reveal that hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women, and children were massacred in what is remembered as one of the darkest chapters in Jammu and Kashmir’s history.  The posters, released by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Resistance Party, Jammu and Kashmir Students and Youth Forum, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Movement, and Jammu Freedom Fighters, appeared in Srinagar and various parts of the Jammu region.

The messages on the posters eulogized the unmatched sacrifices of the Jammu martyrs and reaffirmed the resolve that their mission for freedom from Indian occupation would be carried forward with determination. They asserted that the blood of the martyrs continues to inspire the ongoing struggle for self-determination and that their sacrifices would never be forgotten.

The posters also carried powerful slogans highlighting the Jammu massacre as a symbol of the brutality of occupation forces and a reminder of Kashmiris’ resilience against oppression.  In addition to being displayed in public places, digital versions of the posters have gone viral across social media platforms including X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and WhatsApp, drawing attention to the tragedy and renewing calls for justice for the victims of the 1947 carnage.
