The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Wednesday announced approaching the Azad Jammu and Kashmir High Court against the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for the formation of a government in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.The decision was taken during a special meeting of the Parliamentary Committee headed by Member of National Assembly (MNA) Faryal Talpur.

During the meeting, it was decided that the Pakistan People’s Party will try its best to create hurdles in the way of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz for the formation of a government in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The Pakistan People’s Party will file a petition in the Azad Kashmir High Court seeking a halt in the formation of government in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The Pakistan People’s Party legal team directed the PPP legal team to file the petition in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir High Court.

The PPP demanded repolling in three constituencies of Kotli and two in Muzaffarabad. PPP stated that elections were not held in these constituencies as per the constitution.It is necessary to mention here that the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Faisal Rathore, was not present in the meeting. A unanimous resolution was also adopted against the general elections of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
