PPP HR Cell seminar marks International Human Rights DayBreaking

The PPP HR Cell on Thursday held a seminar to commemorate International Human Rights Day and reaffirm the party’s commitment to upholding human rights for all. Info Secretary Tariq Ghauri opened the session, setting an inclusive tone for the discussions ahead. Vice President Zulqurnain began with a briefing on the history of human rights and underscored that everyone is born free and equal, deserving dignity and freedom without discrimination.

Additional General Secretary Shakeel Abbasi asserted that islam provides the best possible framework for universal rights, reinforcing the party’s stance on inclusive governance. General Secretary Malaika Raza lauded PPP efforts to rectify international treaties during PPP tenures and reaffirmed the party’s ongoing fight for equality and justice.

She congratulated PPP for milestones including the establishment of the Minority Commission, the passing of the Anti Domestic Violence Law, and the Child Marriage Restraint Act. She praised the party chairman’s visionary leadership for climate justice and his contributions as Foreign Minister toward climate justice for climate-affected regions, especially Pakistan.

Farhatullah Babar attended the session and urged continued advocacy in the fight for human rights. The event highlighted the party’s steadfast dedication to human rights, equality before the law, and protection of vulnerable communities, alongside a strong commitment to climate justice and international cooperation.
