President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday, underlining Pakistan’s growing pool of skilled IT professionals, invited the Austrian companies to benefit from the country’s human capital in information technology as well as the opportunities in the tourism sectors.
The president, in a meeting with outgoing Ambassador of Austria to Pakistan Andrea Wicke, who paid a farewell call on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, highlighted the vast potential of Pakistan’s tourism sector and invited Austrian investment, particularly in alpine tourism, an area where Austria possessed considerable expertise.
President invites Austrian firms to benefit from Pakistan’s IT, tourism potential The president appreciated the outgoing ambassador’s efforts in strengthening bilateral cooperation during her tenure.
He said that Pakistan attached great importance to its relations with Austria and emphasized the need to enhance trade and economic ties for the mutual benefit of both countries.
President Zardari congratulated Ambassador Wicke on the successful completion of her assignment and extended his best wishes for her future endeavors. Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi was also present in the meeting.
