President Asif Ali Zardari expressed grief over the martyrdom of security forces personnel in Hangu, and paid tribute to the martyrs.In a statement, he paid tribute to the security forces for killing eight terrorists of the Indian-backed Fitna al-Khawarij in Hangu. The President expressed deep sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of Captain Abuzar Farooq, Lieutenant Shiraz Babar and soldiers. The President appreciated the bravery and courage of those who sacrificed their lives in defence of the homeland.

The President expressed his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of the martyrs.The President prayed to Allah Almighty to elevate the ranks of the martyrs and grant patience to the families. The sacrifices of the brave sons of the nation further strengthen the resolve to completely eradicate terrorism abetted with foreign backing and support, he said adding the sacrifices of the security forces and law enforcement agencies for the defence and security of the homeland.
