Pakistan Telecom Authority (PTA) has started IP and VPN registration to ensure uninterrupted access to internet. VPN registration has been offered to freelancers, businesses organizations and to embassies. According to PTA, the IP and VPN registration will improve the provision of internet to the consumers. It urged the foreign missions to get their VPN registered with PTA saying that the registration process would be completed within two to three days after the confirmation.  The PTA said that there was no registration fee for VPN registration. However, IP whitelisting fee with be charged on five or more IP addresses.  The servers abroad having consumers in Pakistan also need to be get registered.
