PTI behaves more like a mob than a political party: Khel DasBreaking

July 29, 2025

State Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Khel Das Kohistani said that peaceful protest is the democratic right of every political party but taking the law into one’s own hands will not be tolerated by the state. Talking to a private news channel, he said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has a record of violent demonstrations and disruption, rather than constructive political engagement.

“PTI behaves more like a mob than a political party. It has lost its credibility among the public, and its popularity has significantly declined,” he said. The minister added that the people had rejected PTI due to its poor performance during its four-year rule. He said that people welcomed the leadership of Maryam Nawaz in Punjab, where significant development work is being carried out. He termed PTI a rejected force, surviving only on empty slogans without any real political relevance.

Responding to a question, he said that the PTI-led provincial government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had also lost public support. The people of KP also deserve good governance and public relief, just as the people of Punjab are experiencing. When the time is right, the allied parties will take necessary action in KP, he added.
