The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has expressed concern over the health of its founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi. According to details surfaced , the PTI said both were unwell due to solitary confinement and the hardships of imprisonment. The party maintained that neither had been granted access to personal physicians nor allowed meetings with others, adding that Bushra Bibi underwent emergency surgery owing to severe pain in her right eye.

Moreover, the PTI added that the surgery was confirmed by her daughter, adding that Bushra Bibi’s family was summoned from Lahore to Adiala Jail and permitted a one-hour meeting. The PTI said that an urgent procedure on her right retina had been carried out. The PTI called for the provision of proper medical facilities and access to personal doctors for both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.
