The Punjab government has ordered identification and demolition of dangerous and unusable school buildings.The Punjab government directed to immediately vacate dilapidated school buildings across the province. Identification of dangerous buildings has been completed under the annual development program.

The government directed Deputy Commissioners and CEOs Education to take immediate action to protect the lives of children.  School Education Department issued alert to authorities across the province and directed to suspend educational activities in dangerous buildings. It was directed to implement the safety audit report.  Action will be taken against those who are negligent.
