The Punjab Home Department has imposed Section 144 around airports and airbases across the province to strengthen security and ensure flight safety. Under the restrictions, pigeon shooting, the use of laser lights, and the throwing of garbage or meat near these sensitive areas have been strictly banned.  Authorities stated that the measures are aimed at preventing activities that could interfere with flight operations or pose risks to aviation safety. 

The notification states that the decision was taken to protect human lives and property, and the restrictions will remain in effect across Punjab for 30 days. According to the Home Department, such activities interfere with flight operations and pose a serious threat to aviation safety. The orders will also apply within the limits of all commercial airports established across the province.
