Four people lost their lives and 27 others sustained injuries in rain and storm-related incidents across Punjab on Thursday.According to Rescue 1122 spokesperson, in Okara, five-year-old Dua Fatima died when the roof of her house collapsed in Basti Riazabad while two others were injured.An incident of lightning injured a man in the district. In Depalpur, two people were injured in a roof collapse.
In Sheikh Basti, a girl was injured when a roof caved in, and another injury was reported in Adda Gamber due to a similar incident.In Sohawa, Jhelum, one man drowned in a seasonal stream while two others were injured. In Kot Barkat Ali, Khanewal, a man died from a lightning and another was injured.In Bahawalnagar (Bolewala), one fatality occurred due to a roof collapse. In Faisalabad, separate roof collapse incidents in Jaranwala (240 Mor) and Peepal Colony left one person injured in each location.
In a village near Sahiwal, two more people were injured due to falling of roofs. In Malakwal, Mandi Bahauddin, two children were injured after receiving electric shocks.In Kasur’s Kot Piran and Talwandi areas, two more were injured due to roof collapses. In Murree, five people were injured in a collision between a van and a tanker during rainfall.In Lalian, Chiniot, four people were injured when the roof of a house collapsed during heavy rain.
