Record rainfall triggers flood havoc in Occupied Kashmir, 41 deadBreaking

Occupied Kashmir has witnessed its worst flooding in decades as record-breaking rainfall wreaked havoc across the valley. According to Indian media, 380 millimeters of rain was recorded in just 24 hours, breaking a 50-year record.Flash floods swept away several bridges and roads, destroying houses and vehicles. The death toll has risen to 41, while thousands have been left displaced.

Indian media reported that internet and telephone services have been suspended, and educational institutions across the valley have been shut down. Nearly 10,000 people have been evacuated to safer locations in flood-hit areas. Heavy rains have also worsened the situation in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, where low-lying areas remain inundated.
