Rescue 1122 responds to 434 emergencies in May, rescues 403 peopleBreaking

Rescue 1122 Malakand provided timely emergency response services in 434 incidents during May 2026, rescuing a total of 403 people across the district. According to the monthly performance report issued by Rescue 1122 Malakand, the emergency operations were carried out under the supervision of District Emergency Officer Nasir Khan from May 1 to May 31.

The report stated that the emergencies included 284 medical cases, 78 road traffic accidents, 28 fire incidents, 12 cases of firing and violence, seven drowning incidents, 25 recovery operations, and 12 death cases. Under its referral service, Rescue 1122 responded to 182 emergencies and shifted 185 patients to healthcare facilities, including 68 referrals within the district and 114 referrals to hospitals outside the district. 

The Rescue 1122 control room received 12,630 calls during the month. Of these, 4,042 were information-related or dropped calls, while 8,154 were reported as fake or irrelevant calls. The training wing also organized first aid and emergency awareness sessions at various schools, colleges, and institutions to enhance public preparedness for emergencies.

Rescue 1122 Malakand reaffirmed its commitment to providing timely, safe, and quality emergency services to the public. A Rescue 1122 spokesperson said the department would continue its efforts to improve emergency response and community awareness across the district.
