RISJA organizes capacity building workshop for sports journalists Breaking

The Rawalpindi Islamabad Sports Journalists Association (RISJA) organized a “Capacity Building Workshop” aimed at enhancing the professional skills and knowledge of sports journalists. The event saw strong participation from sports reporters and RISJA members. Former ICC and PCB Director Media Sami ul Hassan Barni commended RISJA for organizing the seminar and emphasized the importance of strengthening journalists’ professional capacity to meet modern media challenges. 

Senior sports journalist Shahid Hashmi stressed the significance of honesty, credibility, and ethical reporting, urging young journalists to uphold integrity in their work. Meanwhile, Abdul Mohi Shah and Shakeel Awan spoke about the challenges faced by newcomers in the sports media industry, highlighting the need for adaptability and continuous learning.The speakers praised RISJA’s efforts to promote professional growth and unity among sports journalists.

Presiding over the session, RISJA President Abubakar Bin Tallat thanked the guests and participants for their active involvement and reaffirmed the association’s commitment to organizing more such initiatives with the continued support of his team.
