A robber was killed during a police encounter within the jurisdiction of Satellite police  station in Jhang. According to an official source, the police signaled to stop a truck but the  suspects opened firing on the officials. The police retaliated and found a robber lying dead in the field who was identified as Irfan Ahmed involved in 48 criminal cases. The remaining suspects managed to escape while the police started a search operation.
