The Sukkur police on Thursday thwarted a robbery attempt and arrested two armed robbers, who sustained injuries during the exchange of fire. The incident occurred near the CPEC Interchange in the jurisdiction of Patni police station. During a routine patrol, the police encountered the robbers, who were attempting to commit a crime. In the ensuing gunfire, two robbers were injured and apprehended. The arrested robbers were identified as Imam Bakhsh Laghari and Fida Hussain Laghari.
The police recovered two TT pistols, bullets, and a stolen motorcycle from the possession of the injured robbers. The arrested robbers were wanted in multiple serious cases, including snatching, theft, robbery, and police encounters.The injured robbers were shifted to a hospital for treatment. Further investigation is underway to gather more information about their criminal records. SSP Sukkur Azhar Khan congratulated the police team on their bravery and announced a reward and appreciation certificate.
