Section 144 imposed across Punjab ahead of EidBreaking

The Punjab government has imposed Section 144 in the province from June 5 to June 11, 2025.A notification was issued on Saturday, according to which Punjab Home Secretary imposed these restrictions vide PPC 1898 Section 144 (6). A spokesman of Punjab home department said that these restrictions were announced to provide secure, clean and hygienic environment to the people of the province. Following restrictions were announced under Section 144: A complete ban imposed on to torch trotters and heads on public places.

Ban imposed on swimming, boating and taking baths in dams, canals, rivers, ponds. Under Section 144 complete ban imposed on throwing sacrificial animals waste and Ojri in main holes and canals. Selling and purchasing of sacrificial animals prohibited on public places except prescribed cattle market. Display of weapons, arms and ammunition also banned in Lahore under Section 144. These restrictions are announced for security of citizens and keep environment clean and hygienic during Eidul Azha holidays.

The above-mentioned activities are harmful for human health and security. No banned organization will be allowed to collect hides of sacrificial animals.Only those organisations registered with Punjab Charity Commission will be allowed to collect sacrificial animals hides. District administration and law-enforcement agencies will ensure implementation on these restrictions.
