Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has issued security high-alert for educational institutions in Islamabad.All schools, colleges have been directed to strengthen security arrangements and deployment of security personnel at entry and exit points made mandatory. FDE directed to keep CCTV cameras and metal detectors active in institutions and ordered to form a security and vigilance committee. 

The FDE authorities further directed to ensure 24-hour presence of watchmen and conduct daily security inspections and maintain log books. The educational institutions were instructed to immediately contact the nearest police station in case of any emergency. FDE ordered to submit weekly security reports to all institutions. Action will be taken agaisnt those who do not follow security instructions, FDE warned.
