Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has stronlgy condemned the killing of Session Judge Abdul Hakeem Kakar in Mastung, saying it was an assault on the authority of the state. The chief minister in a statement after the attack stated that terrorists involved in the attack would be brought to justice and tracked down at all costs.He promised that the blood of martyrs who shed their blood for the sake of the country would not go to waste and emphasised that there would be no mercy for terrorists and anyone who helps them.

The government would crush any efforts to question the writ of the state and would also not allow a safe haven in Balochistan to be used against the state.The efforts to tighten security against anti-state groups would continue at a higher level and all networks of terrorists would be dismantled in the province, he added.The chief minister also said that the government remained committed to a constant struggle against terrorism and it will continue with full intensity till the permanent peace is achieved.

 He vowed that those responsible for the attack would be held accountable, and that the martyrs’ sacrifices would be remembered by taking strong action against terrorist groups. Initial reports indicate the terrorists opened fire on a vehicle on the national highway in Mastung. The attack by the killers killed session judge Abdul Hakeem Kakar and his guard.Two others, a Session Judge Tariq Lashari and an officer were also injured, and rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Deceased’s bodies were also sent to hospital. The incident is being investigated by police and a heightened security presence has been deployed in the area as police look to identify and arrest perpetrators.
