Former interior minister and Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed said on Saturday that he was not in Pakistan on May 9. Speaking to the media outside an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Rawalpindi, he appealed to the chief justice of Pakistan to hear the cases of the people, who were living from hand to mouth due to inflation. "The financial condition of the people is pathetic," he said, adding that delay in the settlement of cases had put people in an awkward situation.
