Sindh has assured Balochistan that it will continue extending full cooperation in providing water under the existing inter-provincial water agreement. According to the report, a four-member delegation of Balochistan ministers met Sindh Irrigation Minister Jam Khan Shoro to discuss the province's water scarcity and matters relating to the supply of water through the Pat Feeder Canal.

The Balochistan delegation comprised provincial ministers Saleem Khoso, Mir Sadiq Umrani, Faisal Jamali and Muhammad Khan Lehri, along with the Secretary of Irrigation for Balochistan.  Chief Engineer Right Bank Mukhtiar Abro, as well as the chief engineers of the Sukkur and Guddu barrages and other relevant officials, participated in the meeting via video link. 

The two sides held detailed discussions on Balochistan's water shortage and the mechanisms for ensuring an adequate supply through the Pat Feeder Canal.  During the meeting, Jam Khan Shoro assured the Balochistan delegation that the Sindh government would continue to provide every possible cooperation to ensure water supplies to the province in accordance with the inter-provincial water agreement. 

He also directed irrigation officials to ensure that water was supplied to Balochistan through the Pat Feeder Canal in line with the agreed allocations. In addition, the minister ordered indiscriminate action against all illegal watercourses operating across Sindh to safeguard the equitable distribution of water. Sindh Irrigation Secretary Zarif Khero and Sindh Assembly member Mir Nadir Magsi also attended the meeting.
