The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration foiled a smuggling attempt at Islamabad Airport, arresting two travelers and seizing millions of rupees worth of mobile phones. The suspects, identified as Babar Ayub and Muhammad Salman, arrived in Pakistan from Dubai on Flight Number PK 234. Their travel history, which revealed frequent trips abroad in recent weeks, raised red flags for the FIA officers. A thorough search of the suspects' belongings authorities discovered a substantial cache of electronic devices, including 50 iPhone 15 Pros, 16 iPhone 15s, along with 100 data cables, and 3 Apple MacBook. The explanation provided by the suspects regarding these items failed to satisfy the authorities. Consequently, both individuals have been handed over to customs authorities for further legal proceedings. This incident underscores the vigilance of FIA Immigration in combating illegal activities at the country's entry points.
