The Horticulture Agency (HA) Rawalpindi has taken special steps to maintain the beauty and cleanliness of the historic Liaquat Bagh, with ongoing efforts to enhance parks across the city. An HA spokesman said on Tuesday that work was underway to further beautify Liaquat Bagh through seasonal plantation and improved maintenance of flower beds and lawns.

Blooming colourful flowers and well-maintained plants were presenting a spring-like view, attracting a large number of visitors, he added. He further said the nursery attached to the garden was also being managed in line with the winter season to meet the city’s plantation needs. The staff of the Agency, the spokesman said, “is carrying out horticultural work with dedication to ensure that the garden retains its scenic charm and remains a healthy recreational space for citizens”.

Talking about the initiative, Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi Managing Director Ahmed Hassan Ranjha said all parks in the city were being equipped with quality facilities and special emphasis was being laid on cleanliness and maintenance. He said the parks would be beautified in accordance with the vision of the Punjab Government to provide the best possible recreational facilities to the public.
