Nine people, including women and children, lost their lives, and seven others seriously injured when a speedy truck rammed into their houses in Shikarpur. The incident took place at Kundan Chowrangi, located in the jurisdiction of New Faujdari Police Station in Shikarpur. Rescue sources said that the driver of the truck lost control of the vehicle due to overspeeding and rammed into the mud houses of the Bhel tribe, killing nine people in their sleep . The deceased included a woman and four children.

Rescue sources said during the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the incident occurred as the driver lost control of the truck due to failure of its brakes which then stormed into the houses destroying many of them. Later the vehicle overturned after an electric pole fell on it. Soon after receiving the report, the Rescue 1122 team rushed to the spot and shifted the dead bodies and injured persons to the hospital. A man who was the brother of the groom died on the spot, and three others, including two women, injured when a speeding truck crushed a motorcycle in Khairpur.

The incident occurred in Kot Digi on Mehran Highway in Islamabad. Police said that the motorcycle was running beside the truck carrying the wedding party. Soon after the incident, police and rescue team rushed to the spot and shifted the dead and injured to the Civil Hospital. The deceased was later identified as Habdar Kanasoro. The condition of critically injured persons is serious. Police said that the accident occurred due to speeding.
