Punjab Food Authority carried out operations in Murree against the sale of substandard meat, conducting inspections in Aliot Bazaar. According to a spokesperson, 19 beef and mutton shops were inspected, with four fined a total of Rs54,000. Around four maunds of substandard meat were destroyed on the spot, and cases were registered against the shopkeepers. The spokesperson said a veterinary doctor examined the meat on site and declared it unfit for human consumption.
