Tarbela Dam is fully filled as the water level in the dam has risen to 1,550 feet.According to a WAPDA spokesperson, the water storage in Tarbela today is 5.728 million-acre feet. Moreover, the inflow of water into the Indus River at Tarbela is 268,300 cusecs and the outflow is 238,900 cusecs.The inflow of water into the Jhelum River at Mangla is 38,600 cusecs and the outflow is 7,000 cusecs.
The inflow of water into the Chashma Barrage is 43,500 cusecs and the outflow is 351,600 cusecs.The inflow of water into the Chenab River at Head Marala is 67,600 cusecs and the outflow is 49,000 cusecs. The inflow of water into the Kabul River at Nowshera is 44,600 cusecs and the outflow is 44,600 cusecs.On the other hand, the water storage in Mangla Dam today is 5.423 million acre feet.
The water storage in Chashma today is 94000 acre feet. The total water storage in Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma reservoirs is 11.245 million acre feet. The inflow and outflow of water in Tarbela and Chashma at the places of Indus River, Kabul River at Nowshera and Jhelum River at Mangla are in the form of 24-hour average flow, while the details of water inflow and outflow at other places are as of 6 am today.
