Tent pegging to take centre stage at Islamabad tourism festivalBreaking

Tent pegging, one of Pakistan’s most popular traditional sports, will be the main attraction at the Pakistan Tourism, Sports and Family Festival being organised by the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) from January 31 to February 1 in Islamabad. According to organisers, the two-day festival will be held at F-9 Park and the Islamabad Sports Complex with the aim of promoting Pakistan’s positive image, tourism and family-oriented recreation. 

However, the highlight of the event will be the tent pegging competitions scheduled for January 31 at F-9 Park, in which more than 50 teams from across the country are expected to participate. For the first time, the Al-Buraq Tent Pegging Club will also take part in the competition. The club will be represented by lady riders Zamal Qaisrani and Manahil Qaisrani, along with Nauman Khalid, Chaudhry Aftab Palaak, Rana Ahmad Nawaz Kalu, Ibrahim and others.
