‘Thank You Pakistan’ posters appear in IIOJK ahead of Kashmir Solidarity Day Breaking

February 03, 2026

Posters reading "Thank you Pakistan" have appeared in various areas of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, ahead of Pakistan's Kashmir Solidarity Day on Thursday.  The posters, displayed by pro-freedom organizations, feature images of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Army Chief Field Marshal General Asim Munir, and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Messages on the posters include "Thank you Pakistan", "A bond of blood and belief", and "Pakistan Supports Kashmir's right to decide: Let the people choose".

The posters reiterate Kashmiris' commitment to continue their struggle for freedom from Indian occupation and thank Pakistan for presenting their case internationally. They state Jammu and Kashmir is part of Pakistan per the Two-Nation Theory and India has illegally occupied part of it since October 1947. The Kashmir Solidarity Day is observed annually on February 5 to express solidarity with Kashmiris facing Indian state terrorism.

Through the posters, commitment of the Kashmiri people has been reiterated to continue the struggle for freedom from Indian yoke.   The Kashmir Solidarity Day was first observed on February 5, 1990 when the entire political leadership of Pakistan unanimously expressed solidarity with the people of IIOJK.
