Three children killed, seven injured as house collapses in MansehraBreaking

At least three children were killed and seven others injured when a house collapsed in the Damgalla Datta area of Mansehra, rescue authorities confirmrf on Wednesday.  The house belonged to Sabir Shah and he had family of 10 members. They were all asleep when the roof of their house collapsed, burying them alive under the debris. Locals rushed to the spot and rescued the injured after an effort for hours. The three children who were killed were identified as Saeedullah, 6, Haydaitullah, 8 and Mohammad Firdous, 10. The injured were taken to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital in Mansehra. Two of the injured, including Sabir Shah's wife and a son, were later referred to the Ayub Medical Complex Hospital in Abbottabad for further treatment. Assistant Commissioner Quratul Ain visited the affected family and assured them of all possible help.

The heavy downpour also damaged many buildings and mud houses in the district. Landslides badly damaged the houses of Mohammad Rafique, Haider Zaman and Chan Zen in village Darwaza. The district administration has urged people to stay safe and avoid going out during heavy rains. They have also asked people to check the condition of their houses and remove any debris that could pose a danger in case of a collapse.
