The Traffic Police Hyderabad have cautioned the citizens to follow the traffic rules and regulations to avoid penalties which have been increased almost tenfold. According to the pamphlets circulated here on Sunday, the penalties for driving without license, riding without helmet and wrong parking had been enhanced from Rs2,500, Rs500 and Rs2,000 to Rs20,000, Rs5,000 and Rs10,000, respectively.
The statement added that the number plates violation would entail a challan of Rs5,000; driving or riding without headlights and brake lights Rs5,000; and breaking one-way roads Rs25,000. The drivers and riders indulging in crossing speed limits, rash driving and one-wheeling on the two-wheelers would face a penalty of Rs25,000.
