A tragic traffic accident in the Bolan district of Balochistan has left four people dead and thirty others injured, casting a shadow of grief over the region.The tragic incident occurred near Dosa Chowki on the Quetta-Sindh National Highway, a busy route that connects major parts of Balochistan to Sindh, where a passenger coach traveling from Sadiqabad to Quetta overturned, resulting in the fatalities and injuries. Police and rescue officials responded swiftly.
Personnel from the Motorway Police, Frontier Corps (FC), Levies, and the local district administration were dispatched to the site of the accident. Emergency teams worked quickly to extract the injured from the wreckage, providing first aid on the spot before transferring them to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Civil Hospital in Sibi. Hospital officials confirmed that among the 30 injured, several are in critical condition and are receiving intensive care.
The identities of the deceased have not yet been officially released, pending notification of their families. However, authorities stated that all victims were local residents or commuters traveling through the area. According to police sources, initial investigations indicate that the accident was caused by reckless driving. The driver of the coach is believed to have been speeding and may have lost control due to fatigue or distraction. It is yet to be confirmed whether the driver survived the accident.
