Train services from Balochistan to other parts of the country have been suspended on Saturday due to ongoing flood conditions.The suspension includes the Jaffar Express, which travels to Peshawar, and the Bolan Mail, which connects to Karachi. Railway authorities stated that the decision was taken as a safety precaution in response to the widespread flooding affecting parts of the rail network.

Train operations are expected to resume from Sunday, provided the situation improves and safety is ensured. Officials have urged passengers to stay updated through official channels and contact railway helplines for information on rescheduling or refunds. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has warned of severe flooding risks in Sindh, with the Indus River expected to witness surges of up to 900,000 cusecs in early September.

Floodwaters released from upstream barrages in India and Punjab could inundate lower Sindh areas.Balochistan also faces flood threats, with water expected to enter the province from the Indus River by September 2. Districts including Jaffarabad, Rojhan, Usta Muhammad, and Sohbatpur are at risk of flooding. Provincial authorities have set up a camp office in Naseerabad to monitor the situation closely.
