A timely rescue operation by Motorway Police averted a major disaster as back tyres of a Mazda truck suddenly caught fire on M-2 Motorway near Khanqah Dogran.
Motorway Police Central Region spokesman Syed Imran Ahmad said that soon after receiving the report, Motorway Polie rushed to the spot and started a rescue operation to bring the fire under control by using fire extinguishing tools available in government vehicles before the arrival of the fire brigade team.
The timely and professional action of the Motorway Police prevented a major accident and saved precious lives and property. The truck driver and all the people who were present at the site lauded the professionalism shown by the Motorway Police to bring the fire under control.
