Two dacoits were killed and two of their accomplices escaped from the scene, taking advantage of the darkness in Burewala.The police encounter took place in the jurisdiction of Fateh Shah Police Station, Burewala.

Sources of the Crime Control Department (CCD) said a team was taking the accused for recovery when some accomplices of the accused suddenly opened fire on the police party in a bid to free them from police custody.

During heavy exchange of fire, two dacoits received serious gunshots from their accomplices and died.Later, the CCD team shifted the dead bodies of both dacoits to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ) in Burewala.
