Police on Wednesday arrested two suspects involved in drug and liquor trafficking during operations conducted in different areas of Gulshan Ravi in the provincial capital. According to a spokesperson,the police recovered more than one kilogram of hashish from the possession of accused Asif alias Adeeb,while toxic locally brewed liquor was seized from another suspect,Younas Masih.

The spokesperson said that Asif was also a record holder in several criminal cases.Further investigation has been initiated against them. Meanwhile,SP Iqbal Town Sidra Khan appreciated the performance of SHO and his police team for the successful operation. She directed police officers to continue strict action against drug peddlers and liquor sellers without any leniency.
