On the instructions of Director General Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Muhammad Asif Chaudhry, a vigorous crackdown is underway against unapproved housing schemes, illegal commercialisation and encroachments in the city. In this regard, the enforcement team took action and foiled an attempt to establish two illegal housing schemes in different areas, while three plots for illegal commercialization were sealed and encroachments were removed from Gulberg area on Friday. 

According to the official sources, the team led by Estate Officer Anib Aslam Randhawa took action against SS Avenue and Safa Valley on the land of Chak No. 227-RB and Chak No. 216-RB. The illegal structures were demolished on the spot and the offices were sealed. The enforcement team also sealed plot No. G-701 and Plot No. 6-WK in Gulistan Colony No. 1, Plot No. ASR.X.91 in Madina Town area over illegal commercialization. In another move, an anti-encroachment team demolished illegal set ups in the area of Gulberg A-block.
