Ulema Council leader shot dead by bike-riders in Narang Mandi  Breaking

A shocking incident unfolded in Sheikhupura’s tehsil Muridke, where unidentified armed motorcyclists opened fire in the bustling Narang Mandi bazaar, targeting a Pakistan Ulema Council leader on Thursday. According to the report, the attack claimed the life of Qari Abid Farooqi, the Tehsil President of the Ulema Council. Police reported that the assailants managed to flee immediately after the firing. Authorities added that the ambush occurred near Gol Chowk Shadi Hall in Narang, where the cleric also held a position in the Anjuman Shehriyan Narang.

Sheikhupura police shifted the Islamic cleric’s dead body to the THQ Hospital Muredke for a post-mortem.Meanwhile, in Burewala’s Sadar area, two notorious robbers were killed during an encounter with the Counter Crime Department (CCD) police, while one accomplice escaped. According to CCD officials, the bandits were gunned down by crossfire from their own accomplices. The deceased were identified as Irfan, alias Fouji, of 19-WB, and Abrar Mochi of 15-WB.

Their bodies were shifted to the hospital. In another incident, two outlaws were arrested in an injured state after a police encounter on Jagir Link Road in Khairpur, Sindh. Police said they received a tip-off that armed suspects were planning a robbery on the road. Upon reaching the spot, a fierce exchange of fire broke out, leaving two robbers wounded and captured, while another managed to flee.
