A woman was killed after her husband, who was furious at her for seeking annulment of the marriage, threw acid at her in Kachi Muhammad Khan, a suburban area of Taranda Muhammad Panah. Azra Bibi, who was completely burnt, succumbed to her injuries on the way to a hospital.  The man’s four-year-old daughter Surat and 70-year-old mother Phaphu Mai were also burnt in the attack.  All three of them were initially taken to the rural health center.  But they were later they were referred to Victoria Hospital Bahawalpur owing to their critical condition.
