A woman died on the spot, and her husband became seriously injured when some dacoits opened fire on their vehicle in Narang Mandi.Police sources said that some dacoits intercepted the vehicle carrying the couple near Narang Morr. When the couple ignored their signal, the dacoits started firing on them.  

The woman who was later identified as Mehwish received serious gunshots and died, and her husband, Amir, critically wounded. Both husband and wife were going from Narang Mandi to Narowal. Later, all the dacoits escaped from the scene.Police, after registering a case, started legal proceedings.
