Good news for the residents of Karachi, as work on the second phase of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) will start in the second week of August 2025. Earlier in 2021, the first phase of the Green Line project was completed from Surjani Town to Numaish. After the passage of four years, work on the second will begin soon.

A 1.8-kilometer-long route of the Green Line BRT Project will be constructed from Capri Cinema to Municipal Park, Saddar Karachi. Three separate bus stations will be constructed for the passengers, and two dedicated signals will be installed. The second phase of the Green Line will be used as a corridor. The tenders for the second phase were also awarded. The cost of the project became Rs30 billion with the addition of Rs5 billion.
