World Chefs Day is being observed across the globe, including Pakistan, to acknowledge the services of professional chefs and to celebrate the art of cooking.The day is celebrated every year on October 20, and was established in 2004 by the World Association of Chefs' Societies (Worldchefs), according to a private news channel. 

The purpose of the day is not only to honor chefs for their contributions but also to promote awareness about healthy and nutritious food. On this occasion, various events, workshops, and cooking competitions are being held around the world to inspire young people to pursue careers in the culinary arts. 

In Pakistan, hotels, culinary schools and catering institutions are also organizing special programs where chefs are being recognized for their efforts and young participants are being introduced to the fundamentals of cooking and nutrition.
