In his post on X platform, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi also congratulated Pakistan football team for winning Diamond Jubilee International Football Tournament in Maldives The Green Shirts defeated Afghanistan in the final, raising the pride of the entire nation, Mohsin Naqvi said and added, the footballers made history by displaying splendid play and extraordinary passion on the field. Mohsin Naqvi said winning the first international football title after a long time marked the beginning of a new era for Pakistan football.

He said the football team's historic victory is an inspiration and source of encouragement for every sportsman. Mohsin Naqvi praised the hard work of the players and management, expressing best wishes for future competitions. Pakistan won the Diamond Jubilee International Football Tournament in Malé, Maldives, defeating Afghanistan by 2-0 in the final on Wednesday night.
