Meet festive elements of New Year in Philippines, ThailandBreaking

MANILA/Bangkok, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) -- The upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year, or the Year of the Rabbit, will start on Jan. 22 this year. Lanterns, gold ingot hang decorations, rabbit cartoon images ... the new year elements are springing up in the streets of Manila and Bangkok, with red and golden colors reflecting the festive and lively atmosphere.

The streets are packed with people who are buying various decorations to welcome the New Year.
