In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian trooper was injured in an accidental firing incident at the Balnoi forward post along the Line of Control in Poonch district.  According to Kashmir Media Service, officials said that Border Security Force (BSF) constable Narote Ganpat of the 182 unit

sustained injuries when his service weapon accidentally discharged while he was on duty at the Balnoi post.  The incident occurred at around 2 p.m. on August 19, 2025. Officials confirmed that the injured trooper was given immediate medical assistance at the site before being shifted to a military hospital in Rajouri for further treatment.
